Refund Policy
Plain rules on when a refund is available, when it isn't, and why.
Last updated: May 13, 2026
Plain-English summary: Full refund within 7 days if you've completed less than 25% of the course. Once enough of the course is complete that we've reported it to DBPR — or you've already received your certificate — refunds aren't possible.
1. Standard refund window
We offer a 7-day full refund from the date of purchase on every CodeUpdateFL course, subject to the eligibility rules below.
2. Eligibility
To be eligible for a refund, both must be true:
- You request the refund within 7 calendar days of purchase, and
- You have completed less than 25% of the course material at the time of the request
Completion percentage is measured by the LearnDash progress tracker on your student account.
3. When refunds are not available
Refunds cannot be issued once any of the following has happened:
- You've completed 25% or more of the course content
- You've passed the final lesson quiz and received a certificate
- We've already submitted your completion record to DBPR (CILB, ECLB, or FBC)
- More than 7 days have passed since purchase
Once the CE credit is on your DBPR record, the transaction is considered fulfilled — your license benefit has been delivered, and the credit cannot be "un-awarded."
4. Exceptions
We may issue a refund outside the standard window for:
- Documented technical issues that prevented you from completing the course (after we've exhausted reasonable troubleshooting)
- A duplicate purchase made by the same buyer for the same course
- A course purchased that is later determined to be the wrong package for your license class — provided you haven't started the course
Exceptions are reviewed case-by-case. Email hello@CodeUpdateFL.com with a brief explanation and your order number.
5. How to request a refund
- Email hello@CodeUpdateFL.com with the subject "Refund request — [order number]"
- Include the email address used to purchase
- Briefly explain the reason (optional but helpful)
- We confirm eligibility within 1 business day and process the refund to your original payment method within 5–10 business days, depending on your card-issuer's timing.
6. Chargebacks
If you have an issue, please contact us first. Filing a chargeback before contacting us slows the resolution — we'll typically contest a chargeback on a course that has been completed and reported to DBPR, since the contracted service was delivered.
7. Course material changes
If we materially update a course mid-renewal cycle (e.g., to reflect a Florida code amendment), enrolled students get the updated content at no additional charge. Updates are not grounds for a refund.
8. Questions
Any question about whether your situation qualifies, ask before you buy: hello@CodeUpdateFL.com. We'd rather not sell you the wrong course than refund it later.
